- yeosang and mingi took part in a campaign where celebrities read books to disadvantaged children. their audio books which lead an organisation called happy bean to donate ₩2 million (roughly €1.4 million) to various charities in their name
- ateez are ambassadors of the polished man project, a fundraising programme for prevention of child abuse and to help children who have been abused. hongjoong painted his nails. as a response, atiny helped raise hundreds of dollars between 2019 and 2020 for the project. in mid 2021, the donation total was over $30k
- they appeared on a fundraiser live stream by amazon music for asian pacific american heritage month, garnering over $20k in donations
- they also expressed their support towards the black lives matter movement in 2020 in a tweet
- hongjoong expressed his support by wearing a ring for the happy hippie foundation which is a nonprofit organisation founded by miley cyrus to fight justice for homeless, lgbtq and vulnerable young people
- wooyoung encouraged a male fan to not give up on his gay crush
- yunho: "love is love. does not matter with who as long as [you're] happy in the heart"
- there's been several occasions where fans had told hongjoong how much he inspires lgbtq fans and he said that atiny inspire him as well
- yeosang responded to a tweet with photos of the bi flag photoshopped on his and wooyoung's faces
- hongjoong had rainbow hair during pride month while participating in kingdom
- seonghwa showed atiny an lgbtq+ line's toothpaste he was using, naming it his "toothpaste coming out"
- yunho has worn trans and pride colour bracelets
- mingi said that he likes listening to songs by the xx because don't include pronouns
- san wore a sweater in don't stop that symbolises lesbians and feminism
